Since 1949, Mental Health America (MHA), its 141 affiliates and countless others have observed May as Mental Health Month by reaching out to millions of people to spread the word that mental health is something everyone should care about. This year’s theme is “Look Around, Look Within” and we’re asking you to challenge yourself to look at the world around you and think about how it impacts your mental health. This year’s campaign will focus on how mental health is impacted by surroundings, including housing, the home environment, neighborhoods and towns, the outdoors and nature. For the next 31 days, use the calendar to make the world around you work for your mental health.
